they don't have a website! The technology that enables our products is

You will be an expert in the field of search marketing and PPC,
with the technical and commercial acumen to lead complex projects with
multiple stakeholders. You will have experience of working with major
search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. You will be
forward-thinking, resourceful and capable of both strategic planning
and tactical implementation; this is a high profile, hands-on role.
Scope of Role
- Reporting to the New Media Marketing Manager, working in a team
responsible for the product management and marketing of Thomson's
Internet advertising portfolio
- Lead the development, pricing, communication and sale of PPC search marketing products
- Manage major product developments using internal technology and external relationships
- Participate in strategic marketing analysis and planning
- Manage the Search Marketing Product Executive.
- New Media Remit:
- Our client is currently the only Google Authorised AdWords Reseller
in Europe, and has been since 2005. They lead the way in marketing
internet advertising to SMEs throughout the UK with its innovative
portfolio.
- Their New Media marketing team is responsible
for the strategy, management, communications and commercial performance
of their online directory and search marketing products. The team
currently comprises two Product Managers and one Product Executive.
The Search Marketing Product Manager will need to:
- Be an expert in the search marketing and PPC arena
- Have a passion for in Internet advertising and websites
- Work closely with key stakeholders up to CEO level to identify and plan strategic product developments
- Scope business requirements and develop project documentation/specifications
- Work with external suppliers, content providers and partners
- Understand our sales processes and work with the communications manager
help manage new product launches internally and externally.
Previous Experience:
- Expert working knowledge of PPC and search marketing technology
- Experience of leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Understanding of Internet advertising products, models and measurement
- Business acumen and experience of developing and implementing propositions, business cases and technical developments
- Educational Background:
- Graduate - ideally degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Computing or Ecommerce
- 4+ years post qualification experience in a search marketing/technology company
- Excellent Maths & English
- Attributes and attitude:
- Ability to simplify and explain complex issues
- Understand complex technical concepts relating to search marketing
- Confident presentation and objection handling skills
- Ability to think strategically and see the bigger business picture
- Thrives on regular, tight deadlines
- Strong people skills - must build empathy with sales, operations and marketing colleagues
- Numerate with good attention to detail and copy writing skills
- Passion, initiative, drive, team spirit, confidence.
Base salary:
£41,000 to £44,000
