We recently mentioned Ecocho a new Eco Friendly search engine, which used both Yahoo! and Google feeds to form its search results.
The Australian search engine has had it's Google Adsense API pulled, due to not meeting the guidelines set by Google.
"When we are made aware of a potential policy violation, our team of specialists will manually review the site to make sure it abides by our program policies," Google Australia spokesman Rob Shilkin said. "In this case the site was in clear violation of our terms of service and we had previously warned the owner of past violations. We have now stopped serving ads and search results to the owner's sites."
Ecocho's founder Tim Macdonald denied Mr Shilkin's assertion, saying he was led to believe that there was no violation.
Ecocho's blog goes into more detail, and the site continues to utilise Yahoo! search results.
