Google AdWords have recently reported a new addition to the long list of variables to effect your Quality Score.
In the next few weeks, the load time of your landing page will effect your Quality Score, if your page loads slowly then you will receive a low quality score, thus high minimum CPC.
The reason for this is pretty obvious, Google have to continue developing a more improved "user experience" and waiting for your the page to load is not good.
However what is not covered is how this will be monitored, will Google use its "Search Bot" to measure the load time or will it rely on the load time of the actual user click. If it is the latter then the load time may be hindered by local limitations, like bandwidth, connection speed and PC resources, and will not be the same for each user.
It is also unclear what they deem as "Slow" as no actual time frame is given to help Webmasters optimise their landing pages.
One thing is pretty certain, many Flash based, Video heavy sites will need a little compression to help improve their "Quality Score"
